Originally from Texas and now practicing in Colorado, Sarah Jo brings a broad and versatile legal background to Drexler Law which includes criminal prosecution, criminal defense, family law, and civil litigation. This diverse experience allows her to approach each case strategically, anticipate opposing arguments, and pursue outcomes that align with her clients’ goals. She is a serios and seasoned litigator, too, with a record of effectively advocating for her clients in high stakes matters.
Known for her strengths in the courtroom, Sarah Jo has successfully litigated numerous jury trials and contested hearings, and she is well regarded by the legal community. Sarah Jo’s clients value her for her candid, realistic counsel at every stage of the case and her unwavering commitment to protecting their interests. Sarah Jo understands the importance of preserving relationships and providing support while being a highly effective advocate.
Indeed, Sarah Jo’s dedication to trial advocacy was realized early in her career. In law school, she earned the prestigious Order of the Barristers Award for excellence in trial advocacy after competing—and winning—several advocacy competitions nationwide. She also served in her law school’s Pro Bono Mediation Clinic, where she gained experience mediating both family law and civil disputes prior to graduation which, gave Sarah Jo excellent insight into both litigation and resolution from the outset of her legal career.
Even before law school, though, Sarah Jo worked at Southwest Airlines’ corporate headquarters in Dallas, an experience that strengthened her professionalism, work ethic, and client-service mindset. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and was awarded the exclusive Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Scholarship. Notable too, is that Sarah Jo has long been recognized for her passion in environmental sustainability, her leadership, and her community involvement, including receiving from President Obama, the Presidential Environmental Award as well as being selected as an Olympic Torchbearer for the 2012 London Olympics.
As a Senior Attorney at Drexler Law, Sarah Jo manages complex civil and family law litigation matters while collaborating closely with the firm’s legal team to provide above-and-beyond representation for our clients to ensure their needs are met and interests protected. Sarah Jo is deeply committed to providing responsive, exceptional service, ensuring clients are informed, supported, and confident throughout the legal process
Outside practicing law, Sarah Jo enjoys gardening, traveling, reading, attending live music events, and spending time outdoors with her golden retriever, Mango. A Texas native at heart, she occasionally brings a bit of southern warmth and fitting jargon into her practice - “y’all” included
